The Harrow Dental Centre has served the community since the 1930’s.The past Principals were Sir Rodney Swiss (founder), Professor Geoffrey Dawes, Peter Lee and Barry Grusd.

Ira Miller has been the Principal of the practice since 1986.

We believe that everyone should have their own healthy teeth for their entire lifetime. To support this belief, we subscribe to a program of Preventative Dental Care. It is also our belief that prevention of disease is far more enjoyable less costly and more comfortable for all concerned.

Our goal is to help you achieve and maintain a healthy mouth as quickly and economically as possible. You can be independently healthy and be able to control your own Oral Health with only minimal support from our Practice Team.  Our Oral Hygienists have University Diplomas. They will ensure the care and treatment of gum disease and education in methods of prevention.

We provide dental care for the whole family.  It gives the Practice Team great sense of pride that we are ‘the dentist’ for toddlers, their parents and their Grandparents.

Ira

Ira was born in London, England and qualified as a Dentist, BDS (Rand) at Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1977. 

In 2004 he was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice DRDP (Lon) from the University of London.  Ira has the expertise to guide you through the best way to care for your teeth and gums by restoring and enhancing their appearance using the many modern cosmetic treatments available today.

Ira is firmly committed to post - graduate education and is a member of the Eastman Dental Academy, British Dental Association , the General Dental Practitioners Association and Alpha Omega (an international dental fraternity)

Alison

Alison is a highly motivated, experienced Oral Hygienist. She has been a loyal member of our team for over 21 years. Her warm approach will ensure that your visit to the practice is a pleasurable one.

Hafeeda

Hafeeda worked as a Dental chair side assistant for 6 years before graduating as an Oral Hygienist  at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2003.  She joined our Practice Team in October 2004 and her bright smile and enthusiastic approach is a very welcome addition to our excellent Oral Hygiene Team.
